Psalms 130:8
And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.
Tag: Redeemed From ALL Iniquities
Psalm 130 is a praise psalm. The writer is thanking God for His great mercy upon the nation of Israel. Note what the writer said previously in the chapter:
Psalms 130:3-4
If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.
The last verse of the song tells us that God redeems Israel from ALL iniquities. What a marvelous truth to rejoice over today. God forgives us, not partially, but completely. God forgives us, no half way, but all the way. This is a praise for today, tomorrow and forever. In light of this thought we might think of David’s words in the following Psalm:
Psalms 51:7-10
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
When God cleans us, He cleans us!! We are purged and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. Our forgiveness comes at great expense: The blood of Christ. We can rejoice that His blood saves us from ALL our iniquities.
