Revelation 5:13-14 (ESV Strong's)
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
Truth: When it is all said and done we will sing praise to the worthiness of Christ!!
Chapters 1-5 of Revelation are all about the Son of God and His knowledge of the Church; His power over the Church; His chastisement of the Church; His blessing for the Church; and, the Honor due Him from the Church (which is His bride). In each "era" of the Church (written about in regard to a specific city) Christ speaks to them that He "knows their works." After reveling what He knows to John, the prophet is brought further into the the throne room of God and there he sees the 24 elders and the host of heaven singing praise to the Lamb of God: Christ. The praise is because "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain" (Revelation 5:12). Because Christ is worthy "every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea" break out in praise. Imagine that scene!! Imagine if, today, that scene were to take place!!! The worship of Christ because He is worth of worship is the main occupation of heaven. We often think of heaven as the perfect place for "us." However, heaven is about Christ, not us. We are called to worship Christ. We can't because of our sin. We are therefore saved to worship Christ!! That is what we are created to do.
My 2025 Theme Verses: Ezra 7:10 (ESV) For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel. Daniel 1:8 (ESV) But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.
