View What You See Through The Lens of What God Has Planned - Isaiah 18-22

Isaiah 19:3-4 (ESV)

and the spirit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out,

and I will confound their counsel;

and they will inquire of the idols and the sorcerers,

and the mediums and the necromancers;

and I will give over the Egyptians

into the hand of a hard master,

and a fierce king will rule over them,

declares the Lord GOD of hosts.

This section of Isaiah’s prophecy is a collection of oracles from God, through Isaiah’s lips, to various countries and towns within those countries.   The above is written to the Egyptians.  When God works in the world He is in complete control of the world.  That is a wonderful thought to a believer.  As we read the news and watch images across our country and other countries, we could lose focus as to what is going to happen.  Nothing is going to happen that God did not design, intend, permit, and produce.    He even uses evil to accomplish His plans, even though He is not evil.  But evil becomes a mission for God to destroy, while at the same time God uses its unholy actions to accomplish His plans.   We might be fearful of the visions we see, but God provided Isaiah’s vision for us to have peace in the truth of His sovereign power.
